+ OMEGA dB ‘Chapter Four Remixes’

OMEGA dB - Chapter Four Remixes

OMEGA dB returns with a new album, Chapter Four Remixes on Hypersunday Records. Seven Spanish producers -Josephine, Matsu, BeatLove, Fernando Lagreca, Structweird, NIET!, Pina- and OMEGA dB himself remix here the tracks of the acclaimed album Chapter Four (2020), some of them now aimed for the dance floor.  #
Chapter Four was a twist on the OMEGA dB sound. The Barcelona producer created a magnificent album, with soundtrack’s echoes. It was a tribute to science fiction movies without percussive elements, a very powerful and poetic work. The new remixes of those tracks are a completely different approach to that sound, in fact, eight different approaches, from experimental ambient to dark techno. #
Adrián Gázquez, aka OMEGA dB released his first album, My Church, on 2014. Since then he has developed his own, unique style: elegant electronic music with a certain baroque touch crossed by an undeniable electro fondness. This is his fourth album.

+ NIET! new EP: ‘Parenthesis’

Parenthesis puts together the most techno tracks produced by NIET! Despite their naked appearance, these five strong and fast tracks include very representative elements of NIET!’s music. A great presence of voices and field recording elements give ‘Parenthesis’ an unmistakable personality. The EP starts off with ‘Go-Go in Love’, a brutal 125 bpm track that makes the album’s proposal clear; then ‘Train to a Stupid Place’, absolutely percussive and irresistibly danceable. The third track, ‘Tremor’ is an additive crescendo with increasingly distorted vocals. ’50’ begins with a count that leads to the most melodic track on the EP. Finally, ‘Glitter Bridge’ is built almost entirely with fragments of voices and sounds of real life in a very energetic, rhythmic orgy.

+’Memoria’, NIET! craziness

A new video by NIET!, ‘Memoria’ was screened (27/06) at LAVS Festival, at Mataró (Barcelona, Spain). A shopping list helps NIET! to compose musically and visually this track and video, that deal with memory, or rather, about the terror of losing one’s memory.

+New NIET! album

HUMILLACIÓN is the new NIET! album. Here, the Spanish producer displays, over nine tracks, its serious electronics with naif edges, slow tempo and deep emotions, with a strong presence of voice. In this album you can find a very dark synth pop as well as difficult to classify tracks like ‘Memoria’ or ‘Humillación’.
Regarding the process of creation itself, NIET! has pulled some of her most traumatic experiences –as in ‘Humillación’– or the emotions that have made the most in his life to mark the axis of music and lyrics. This is sometimes expressed in a conventional, sung way, as in ‘Vertigo’, but others are crude monologues full of reality, where irony is not lacking either. Artwork by Gonzalo Cervelló.

+We are celebrating

Six years ago, September 2014, we released our first video for About, main track of our first album, ‘Commedia-Intro’. The process was full of ‘little’ accidents: the main lamp broke (you can feel that ‘special darkness’ in the set); the disco ball nearly ripped NIET!’s head off… But we did it!
